At approximately half 8 last night, Fyfe, Arista, Greig and Magrao took to the stage at London's Barbican, (the scene of the last date of the 'Fishbone For A Drink' tour, back in November) for just 15 minutes as part of the British Council's 75th Anniversary celebrations.. Their 15 minutes on stage was one of three collaborations which took place, and saw them team up with the mighty Penguin Cafe Orchestra (

In their time on stage, they performed 3 tracks:
* A live version of PCO's classic 'Telephone & Rubber Band' which some of you will most probably recognise:

* before finishing with a lullaby which was a poem written by Greig for his daughter.
It was amazing to see them all on stage again, it is fair to say that I was bundle of excitement and butterflies on my way to the venue. I had the biggest grin on my face when they walked on to the stage I have pics, I have footage, I shall upload as soon as I possibly can.
After Guillemots, there was a 20 minute and then Matthew Herbert and his big band took to the stage to headline the night, and I was suitably impressed. He was also joined on stage by the 75-piece Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble who were brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend any one go see him if you get a chance, though I don't think the choir is a permanent fixture in his live performances, I think they were a one-off addition specially for the night.
I will upload my pics etc asap!!
